Enjoy the Coast for Less This Fall

Travelers on the lookout for cheap travel deals, such as cheap airplane tickets and cheap vacation packages would be well advised to consider traveling to a beach resort on the East Coast, Mexico, or the Caribbean this fall.

Airfare and hotel room rates at beach destinations have dropped significantly from the peak summer months. For many the quiet relaxation and value of coastal destinations this time of year is more than worth the gamble of hurricane season.

The weather is typically still great during the autumn months, the crowds are few, and the rates are much more attractive.

The following are some of the fall beach destinations recommended by Travel & Leisure:

Fort Myers and the Florida Keys are attractive for beach lovers this time of year. Although ticket prices vary, airfares typically decrease around 20 percent in the fall. Hotel rates have fallen even more.

The Crystal Coast, southern Outer Banks, North Carolina is home to an 85 mile stretch of sand and surf. Lodging discounts of over 60% can be had when compared to pricing during peak season.

Cape Code, Massachusetts enjoys a quiet magic time in the fall. Resorts offer discounts of up to 33 percent.

The Caribbean in the fall offers discounts of up to 30 percent when compared to winter which is its peak season. Hurricane insurance is available for those so inclined.

The Mayan River, Mexico offers great fall deals. Most lodgings offer discounts ranging from 25 to 30 percent now through Thanksgiving. While the threat of hurricanes tends to lessen demand in the region this time of year, the sunshine and bargains often win out.
