Recently AirHelp evaluated 78 airlines around the world torank the industrys best airlines. AirHelp is a flight delays compensation company which used three keycriteria in rating airlines:

  • Quality performance, based on data from airline review site Skytrax.com evaluating the airline product, as well as a rating of the airline experience both onboard and at airports.
  • Delay time, which considered how many flights arrived on time.
  • Claim processing, which looked at the airlines' number of wrongfully rejected compensation claims per quarter, and the amount of time it takes airlines to respond to, handle, and pay out a claim.

Each airline was given a rating that maxed out at 10in the above areas, with the average of these three ratings determiningAirHelps final overall score.

QatarAirways came in number one, followed by Air Dolomiti from Italy, and AustrianAirlines.

The following were the 10 highest rated airlines in theworld and their respective ratings:

1. Qatar Airways - 8.7

2. AirDolomiti - 8.5

3. AustrianAirlines - 8.5

4. SingaporeAirlines - 8.4

5. KLM- 8.3

6. VirginAtlantic - 8.2

7. AirBaltic - 8.1

8. CathayPacific - 8.1

9. AirCanada - 8.1

10. Finnair 8
