The Transportation Security Administration has decided to help travelers by coming out with a new free TSA mobile app called MyTSA that can help travelers planning to fly. This app can be downloaded to smart phones or mobile devices.

You can see which airports are experiencing general delays, though not specific flights, or search for conditions at a specific airport.
If you have questions as to what is allowed in carry-on or checked baggage, you can type the item you wish to pack to see if it is permitted.
It includes an air travel guide with tips on traveling with children, rules for liquids, special medical needs, packing tips, recommended attire for airport security, tips for military members and traveling with food and gifts.
You can share your wait time on this app and view the wait times that other passengers have posted for U.S. airports.
