Look Into Amusement Park Apps

Cheap airplane tickets or cheap vacation packages are great ways to travel to a theme park. However, once at the park you may want maps, wait times for rides and restaurant tips. There is an app for that and much more, particularly if you are visiting Walt Disney World or other central Florida theme parks.

There are dozens of applications available for iPhones, Droids, and other handheld electronic devices that can make park visits better organized and more enjoyable. Some of these apps can be downloaded for free, but most cost a couple of dollars.

The majority of apps available today are for Walt Disney World, but a few are available for other attractions as well. Universal Wait Times is a free iPhone app that provides accurate wait times for rides inside Universal Orlando two parks.

Some park map apps show the users exact location and what is nearby. Apps are available to help select a restaurant based on type of food and price. There are apps that compare resort hotels, help plan your trip in advance and others that show shuttle bus routes.

Disney has released a know it all app exclusively for Verizon cell phones called Disney Mobile Magic. Priced at $1.99 it works in Walt Disney World and Disneyland. It helps users find character appearances, attractions, restaurants and other points of interest. It also checks wait and FASTPASS return times, and provides shopping information. www.cheapfares.com
