Avoid Making Your Flight Attendant Crazy

Just because you were smart enough to purchase cheap airplane tickets and discount hotel rooms or cheap vacation packages is no reason not to treat your flight attendant with respect. In fact you will enjoy a much more pleasant flight if you avoid getting under your flight attendants skin.

The following are the things that passengers do that tend to drive flight attendants over the edge:

Whine about things that attendants have no control over, such as the seat being too small, the flight being delayed, and the tea tasting weird.

Keep pushing the flight attendant call button. Remember on average there is one flight attendant responsible for up to 50 passengers.

Ask for food that the airline is not offering.

Ask questions that the passenger is as likely to know as the flight attendant.

Look at a flight attendant and laugh in his/her face and then whisper/giggle to a fellow passenger in another language.

Pretend that you did not hear the flight attendant tell everyone to switch off their electronic devices and then defending yourself by claiming that airlines concern about communication interference is nonsense.

Behave like a negligent parent by expecting flight attendants will happily babysit their children while then nap or watch a movie.

Grumble about the weight of your bags and expect flight attendants to put them in the overhead compartment. Flight attendants suffer injuries trying to manipulate heavy bags.

Pretend the seat belt sign does not apply to them. Passengers often get up to go to the washroom while the seat belt sign is on. Other passengers like to wander and talk to fellow passengers. It is dangerous not to be belted in during takeoff, landing, and during turbulence. www.cheapfares.com
