Mobile Passport can Breeze You Through Customs

After planning an affordable trip by carefully reviewing yourcheap traveloptions, including cheapairplane tickets, discount hotel rooms, and cheap vacation packages, it isa shame to end your trip on a down note when you get stuck behind a long linewaiting to go through U.S. customs.

Now the Mobile Passport app can speed you through U.S.Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at three cruise ports and 25 airports.  This app is officially authorized by U.S.Customs and Border Protection.

You no longer need to hunt for a pen or a paper form whencoming back into the United States.  Thisapp offers strong privacy protection and is free.

The following is how the app works:

·     Set upyour profile by entering in information as it appears on your valid, officialpassport.  You can set up profiles foryour entire family.  Your informationwill be encrypted and shared only with CBP.


·     AnswerCBP’s five brief questions about your trip. Then carefully review all of your information for the trip.


·     Submitto CBP your information once you are at your port of entry (airport or seaport) by connecting to the Internet wirelessly or via Wi-Fi.  When you submit you are confirming underpenalty of law that your information is correct.  Within a couple of seconds, you will receivea CBP receipt with an encrypted barcode that will be valid for four hours.


·     Then breezethrough customs and save time.  Followthe Mobile Passport Control signs to the designated Mobile Passport Controlline.  Show your passport to the CBPoffice and scan the barcode on your CBP receipt.
