The building material used for the hotel is called snice(a snow and ice mixture). Constructionused enough of this mixture to make 700 million snowballs.

About 580 artists have created works for the hotel since itfirst started hosting guests in 1989.

The hotels ambient temperature is -5 C, but sports thickcapes, high-quality sleeping bags and luxury fur throws to keep guests comfortable.

Not everything in the hotel is made of ice. There is a spa and sauna to relax in awayfrom the elements.

ICEHOTEL 365 is built on the site of a former refrigerationplant. To ensure that gusts do not missthe Northern Lights, there is a special auroral alarm.

The hotel comes with its own chapel and hosts about 100wedding each year, making for a lot of happy snow queens.

Around 27,000 cocktails are enjoyed each season at theIcebar, which now has branches worldwide.
