Transformers Preparing to Descend on Florida

Come 2013, visitors will have yet another reason to go to Orlando beyond all of its current attractions and the ready supply of cheap airplane tickets and cheap vacation packages. Universal has announced that in the summer of 2013 it will introduce Transformers: The Ride 3D at Universal Studios Florida.

Intergalactic wars between the Autobots and Decepticons have been raging at Universal Studios in Hollywood California since last May and in Singapore since 2011.

Universal said that its decision to expand its Transformer attraction to Florida was based on the overwhelming response to this attraction in both Singapore and Hollywood.

The Transformers concept is about warring alien robots that convert into vehicles or weapons as they fight for control of the universe. The heroic Optimus Prime leads the Autobots while the evil Megatron is the leader of the Decepticons. Humans are caught in the middle of their epic struggles.

This ongoing saga is a story of good vs. evil. The visual experience of the Transformer movies has been used to turn the ongoing battles into a thrilling ride experience.

The ride will be identical to the ones in Hollywood and Singapore. Guests will line up at a control center right before the Decepticons attack. Visitors will be asked to put on 3D glasses and board motion simulator vehicles where they will then spend five minutes being chased, crashed, and exposed to explosions delivered via intricate sets, 14 movie screens, and a 5,000 watt sound system.

Survivors of the ride will exit through the Transformers Supply Vault which also serves as a gift shop.
