  • FIFAFootball Museum in Zurich, Switzerland is expected to open early thisyear. This $177 million facility will behome to over 1,000 exclusive exhibits dedicated to soccer and house the worldslargest collection of soccer books. Thevenues interactive multimedia world of experiences will include a giantsoccer pinball machine and a cinema that creates the atmosphere of a stadium.

  • SanFrancisco SFMOMA will have three times the exhibition space of the Museum ofModern Art (MoMA) in Manhattan and is scheduled to open on May 14th. The 10 story facility will be home to thenations largest Center for Photography as well as 260 works from the FisherCollection and over 600 prized artworks. Free admission will be offered to visitors aged 18 and younger andalmost 45,000 square feet of free public access will be made available toeveryone.

  • ArkEncounter in Northern Kentucky is a divisive theme park, which proselytizes thetheory of creationism, and will open on July 7th. On display will be a full scale replica ofNoahs Ark that will be the largest wooden structure in the world.

  • Doha FestivalCity in Qatar, scheduled to open in September, is a miniature village as wellas mega mall with 2.6 million square feet of leasable space inside which willbe 550 shops, 100 cafes and restaurants, a hotel and convention center, and twoentertainment zones. There will be anoutdoor amusement park and an indoor snow park for skiing and sledding.

  • DarlingHarbour Live in Sydney, Australia, scheduled to open in December, will featureAustralia largest convention and exhibition facilities.

  • PalestinianMuseum in the West Bank just north of Jerusalem will open on May 15th;will hold 430,000 square feet of Palestinian art and culture. The museum wants to foster a link betweenPalestinians in historic Palestine and those living in diaspora, with exhibitslike Never-Part, which will explore the personal histories of Palestiniansthrough objects that they could never part with.

  • LouvreAbu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates will open by the end of the year and isto be the best museum that money can buy. Abu Dhabi paid $525 million just to be associated with the Louvre brand,as well as another $747 million for art loans and managerial advice. There will be 65,000 square feet dedicated topermanent installations and 22,000 square feet for temporary exhibits.
