Receive Free AirTran Tickets by Staying at Holiday Inns

Free airfare is the only thing that trumps cheap airplane tickets and cheap vacation packages. The Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG), which includes Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza hotels, has added AirTran as a partner to its Priority Club Rewards loyalty program which will allow member to earn free upgrades or free flights on AirTran.

AirTran selected IHG hotels as its first, and only, hotel partner. AirTran became interested after determining the two companies share 100,000 customers and believe that number could grow because of this new relationship.

Customers who are members of IHGs Priority club and AirTrans frequent flier program will have the option of deciding whether to earn IHG points or AirTran credits when flying or visiting hotels. Priority Club members can earn points for AirTran A+ credits. Every hotel stay will equal half an Air Tran credit.

AirTran credits can be used to redeem the following:

Upgrade to one way Business Class seat using 4 AirTran credits, or 8 qualified stays with IHG.

Earn a free one way coach ticket using 8 AirTran credits or 16 qualified stays with IHG.

Purchase a round trip coach ticket using 16 A+ Rewards credits, or 32 qualified stays with IHG.

Qualified stays are defined by IHG as one night or consecutive night stays at the same hotel regardless of the frequency of check in or check out times at the same hotel. IHG will not issue credits for select discounted rates.

All 4,500 IHG hotels are participating including Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, and InterContinental and Hotel Indigo hotels.
