While many passengers highly value cheap airplane tickets or cheap vacation packages, inappropriate passenger behavior can diminish others joy of flying and has resulted in passengers being removed from planes and even being arrested.
The following are such a few examples of recent passenger misbehavior:
1) A basketball player for the University of New Mexico was arrested on June 16th at San Francisco International Airport after refusing to pull up has saggy pants while attempting to board a US Airways flight.
2) Earlier in June a childrens book author was taken off an Atlantic Southwest Airline Flight at Detroit Metro Airport after a flight attendant heard him cursing over a flight delay.
3) A passenger stripped naked and locked himself in a lavatory on June 9th of a Frankfurt bound Iberia flight, resulting in the pilot returning the flight to Madrid.
4) A United Airlines passenger on a flight from Spokane Washington to Denver in May was arrested for allegedly masturbating in his seat.
The following are onboard etiquette violations that thoughtful passengers should avoid:
Clipping toenails is an unpleasant activity for fellow passengers to witness who often find the offending passengers feet smelly.
Changing baby diapers on airlines seats grosses out many passengers. Some mothers even try to give dirty diapers to flight attendants to dispose.
Being scantily clad while flying often is viewed as offensive and may sometimes result in the passenger being denied boarding.
Watching X rated videos while flying is inappropriate.
By not taking a shower prior to heading to the airport or eating fried chicken, barbecue ribs, or other smelly, greasy meals shortly before boarding passengers pass offending odors onto others.
Not waiting your turn when disembarking the airplane creates tension for those around you. Just because you do not have any luggage in the overhead bin, you should not jump up out of your seat, and attempt to head down the aisle before others seated in front of you.
