New Nonstop Service New York to Honolulu

East Coast travelers will be delighted to learn that cheap airplane tickets and cheap vacation packages will soon be available on direct flights from New York to Honolulu via Hawaiian Airlines.

Hawaiian Airline is offering one way introductory base fares of $212 in economy and $808 in first class (212 and 808 are the areas codes of New York City and Honolulu respectively) and are available for purchase through November 20th for travel between June 4th and June 30th, 2012. Additional taxes and fees apply.

Departures will commence on June 4th with daily service between Honolulu and New York. Flights out of Kennedy Airport will leave at 10 a.m. and arrive in Honolulu at 3 p.m., taking a total of 10 hours. Flights will depart from Honolulu at 3:05 p.m. and arrive in New York at 6:55 a.m., making it a 11 hour flight.

Hawaiian will be the only airline flying nonstop to Honolulu from Kennedy. Continental flies direct flights to Honolulu out of Newark.

New York is viewed as an important part of its growth strategy according to Hawaiian. New York is the largest market in eastern U.S. and Hawaiis second largest tourism market.

Hawaiian will be using twin aisle Airbus A330-200 planes that accommodate 294 passengers, with 18 first class seats. Every seatback will have an entertainment system that offers movies, music, and video games. First Class customers will have access to bigger screens and iPod compatibility. www.cheapfares.com
