“Home Benefits” offered by Luxury Hotel Group

High end travelers often value cheap airplane tickets or discount travel packages. However, when it comes to selecting a hotel they often want to stay at the very best. To appeal to affluent guests, Leading Hotels of the World has come out with a home benefits offer for its loyalty program members.

Leading Hotels is testing a new program that will allow its members to enjoy special privileges in their home city. Initially the program will only be for members living in London, New York, and Paris. If the program is deemed a success it will be rolled out to other markets.

Members residing in the three test markets will be sent emails about special privileges or perks at the Leading Hotel properties in their cities: Greenwich Hotel in Manhattan, the Ritz in Paris and One Aldwych in London.

These perks may include such things as giving New York members special access to the spa at the Greenwich Hotel in Tribeca which is usually only offered to guests. The Mark hotel in Manhattans Upper East Side will offer members a buy one get one free deal on afternoon tea.

Earlier this year Leading Hotels eliminated its free loyalty membership tier while at the same time improving member perks by adding free continental breakfast and fee Wi-Fi. Membership costs either $100 or $1,200 per year, depending on the type of membership selected members earn one free night after five paid stays in one calendar year.

A key objective of the home benefits program is to become a part of its loyalty members everyday lives, even when they are not traveling. It is hoped that members will share the perks with family and friends from out of town which will help the hotel network become even more well known. www.cheapfares.com
