Free Internet for Elite Hilton Members

One of the ongoing frustrations for travelers who have purchased cheap vacation packages or discount hotel rooms is when they arrive at their hotels and are told that they have to pay for Internet service. What upsets experienced travelers even more is that typically budget hotels offer free Internet service in their base rate whereas higher end full service hotels usually charge extra to connect to the Internet.

Hilton Hotels has just announced that as of September 1st it will be providing gold and diamond level HHonors members free high-speed Internet access at its hotels. This means that Hiltons elite level loyalty members will be saving between $10 to $15 per day at Hilton full service hotels. 26 million travelers are currently enrolled in Hiltons HHonors program.

This new benefit will be offered at all domestic and international Hilton hotels, as well as at other Hotel owned chains including Andaz, Conrad and Waldorf Astoria hotels.

Hilton explained the reason for their new policy is that business travelers rank quality, high speed Internet access as one of the most important guest priorities. Hilton believes that it is satisfying its guests evolving demands by providing complimentary Internet access to its Hilton HHonors Gold and Diamond members globally.
