Dreamliner Passengers will Love the Ride

Cheap airplane tickets and cheap vacation packages do not necessarily mean that passengers have to be packed in an airplane like sardines. Boeings new 787 Dreamliner planes will allow airlines to offer unrivaled standards of service and comfort to its passengers.

The 787 has bigger windows, bigger overhead bins, more headroom and quieter engines than any existing commercial airplane. Other attractions of this new plane include improved lighting and air purification, and a higher humidity level intended to offset the dryness travelers commonly experience on planes.

Boeings new plane is made of 50 percent composite materials which will make it 20 percent more fuel efficient and 10 percent less expensive to operate than similarly sized planes in its class.

Despite being delivered several years late and experiencing cost overruns in the billions of dollars, Boeing has approximately 800 orders for this mid-size jetliner.

United Airlines is the first North American airline scheduled to receive a 787. Deliveries to U.S. airlines are forecast to commence early next year.

All Nippon Airways (ANA) was the first airline to take delivery of this jet in late September. After a month of special charter flights ANA will start flying its 787 between Tokyo and Okayama. ANA has ordered 55 Dreamliners to be delivered by the end of 2017 and plans to fly this jet on both domestic and internal routes.

Some industry experts believe that the 787 will become a game changer within airline networks over the next decade. www.cheapfares.com
