Delta’s JFK Expansion Proceeding Smoothly

Travelers are hoping that Deltas decision to expand and enhance Terminal 4 at New Yorks Kennedy airport will result in additional competition and thereby encourage greater availability of cheap airplane tickets and cheap vacation packages.

Deltas objective is to turn JFKs Terminal 4 into a state of the art airline hub.

Delta announced in its July 19th progress report that it is on schedule with it $1.2 billion JFK renovation and innovation of Terminal 4. Delta released a video rendering of the terminal that shows how the space will look and feel once construction is completed in 2013.

Some of Terminal 4s new features will include covered check-ins at curbside, one of Deltas largest SkyClubs, nine new international gates, additional capacity at check in and security checkpoints, a new automated baggage handling system, ample supply of power and USB outlets, and more shopping and dining options.

Additional custom and border inspection booths will make returning from overseas just as easy as returning from Chicago.

The new check in area looks similar to an international terminal, with plenty of individual check in areas vs. one long line for everyone flying any given airline. There will be a special check in line for priority passengers who will also enjoy their own private check in lounge directly adjacent to security. www.cheapfares.com
