Beware of Baggy Pants on Spirit Airlines

While Spirit Airlines is well known for offering cheap airplane tickets and cheap vacation packages as long as travelers figure out how to maneuver around its many additional fees, wearers of baggy pants should know that such attire is not tolerated by this airline.

Spirit forced a passenger and his companion off a flight departing from Chicagos OHare International Airport Sunday, July 29th for being verbally abusive to flight attendants after they request that he pull up his pants.

The man supposedly had excessively low pants and when asked to pull them up he and a woman he was flying with started to threaten flight attendants on a Spirit flight headed for Orlando.

After law enforcement arrived on the plane the man and woman gathered their belonging and were escorted off the plane. They were place on the next Spirit flight heading for Orlando and were ultimately delayed only by five minutes.

Spirits regulations stipulate that passengers must wear shoes and adequate clothing. Crew members are empowered to ask passengers to comply with various requests so long as they are in the best interest of other passengers. If a passengers conduct is deemed to be disorderly or abusive, then that person may be asked to deplane.
