American Enhancing Premium Travel

Wealthy travelers who do not limit themselves to the purchase of cheap airplane tickets and cheap vacation packages, are willing to pay more for an enhanced flying experience. To better serve these customers American Airlines is going to start offering turndown service and other perks for First Class passengers on select flights.

New amenities include quilted bed toppers, slippers, pajamas, and high end toiletries. The new high end service started Thursday, September 1st for First Class passengers flying between the U.S. and Heathrow Airport on select flights. Business Class passengers on these flights will also enjoy enhanced treatment, including duvets and pillows.

By October this improved service in First and Business Classes will be extended to select flights between the U.S. and all overseas destinations.

American is stepping up its luxury treatment of premium passengers to make it stand out from other airlines competing for the same high end customers. Premium passengers bring in the most revenue for the seats they purchase and are critical to airlines profitability.

Americans improved premium class amenities is yet another example, according to an American spokesman, of how American is working to differentiate their premium customers experience, delivering those services which they value most. American claims that it is providing luxury amenities that American Airlines premium customers have requested and are not available from the competition. www.cheapfares.com
