Why are prices not guaranteed?
Airlines generally do not guarantee fares until ticketing is complete. Thus, until
you have completed the process and we have issued your ticket, prices can change.
This is true even when you hare holding a confirmed seat (such as when you place
a reservation "on hold"). To make sure that you receive the quoted price, complete
your purchase as soon as possible.
Although you will see the current price when you save the itinerary, prices are
not guaranteed, and no reservation will be made for you until you complete your
purchase.
How can I get travel protection?
Protect Yourself and Your Trip
To ensure our travelers' peace of mind while away from home, We now offer several
Protection Plans. We recognize that the last thing a traveler wants to worry about
is any financial loss that might occur as a result of a missed flight, an injury
while on vacation, or any other unforeseen accident.
You can now add Flight Insurance Protection to your air tickets. Once you've selected
your trip, you'll see the Trip Insurance Protection Plan option. To add
this optional insurance, simply click on the Protect Your Trip option when
completing your air reservation. Each plan is designed to protect the traveler's

What is included in the Taxes and Fees of my Fare?
Fares shown are for one adult. Any applicable discounts will be added after you
choose your flights. These fares include airline-imposed fuel surcharges and some
but not all taxes. Additional taxes, airport facility charges (ranging from USD
2.00-18.00) and federal segment fees (USD 3.00 per segment, defined as a takeoff
and landing) will be shown after your flights are selected. Fares do not include
September 11th Security Fee of $2.50 for each enplanement that originates at a U.S.
airport, up to a maximum of $5 per one way or $10 per round trip. The above fares
may not be available on all flights and are subject to change without notice. Additional
taxes/fees may be associated with international itineraries of up to USD 113 or
local currency equivalent. The final fare per passenger will be displayed once flights
are chosen.
The price of my reservation changed while it was on hold.
Why?
Occasionally, airline s raise or lower a fare with relatively short notice. If the
price of your reservation has changed, it means the airline changed (or possibly
discontinued) your fare after you placed your reservation on hold.
What does "non-refundable" mean?
If your ticket is NON-REFUNDABLE and you cannot use it, keep the ticket as you may
be able to apply the unused ticket for future travel. The airline may charge a fee
for reissuing/reusing a non-refundable ticket. Non-refundable tickets are perfect
for customers who know when and where they need to travel and are unlikely to change
their minds. Non-refundable tickets are not preferable for customers who may need
to change their plans. In addition to not being able to obtain a refund for the
unused ticket, additional fees for re-issuing the ticket may be imposed by the airline.
In general, this fee ranges between $75.00 and $100.00, plus any applicable fare
changes.
What does "non-refundable, non-exchangeable and non-transferable"
mean?
Upon purchasing a ticket that is referred to as "non-refundable, non-exchangeable,
non-transferable", the ticket will have no refund value. In addition, no change
can be made to the airline, dates or times of travel, or cities of travel booked.
These restrictions enable Travel Reservations Center and its partner airlines to
offer the lowest possible fares.
What does "Existing tickets cannot be used to purchase
this ticket" mean?
Unused tickets with residual value are not exchangeable towards the purchase of
these low fare tickets. This rule is different than with some other tickets. For
some fares, airlines will allow credit for the fare value of an unused ticket, less
any penalty fees, toward the purchase of another ticket on that same airline. Credits
are not permitted to be used toward the purchase of these tickets.
My tickets appear to carry additional restrictions. Why?
When offering special lower prices, airlines may apply additional restrictions to
a specific fare. These typically include: no frequent flyer miles, no standby travel
permitted, no cabin upgrades, no advanced seat assignment & severe cancellation
and change rules. Other rules may also apply. We encourage you to always read the
rules and restrictions carefully before purchasing your ticket. You will find the
fare rules link immediately to the right of the selected flights.
Do I have to read the fare rules?
No, although we encourage you to do so. Travel Reservations Center's systems will
automatically confirm that the flights you select do qualify for the fare you are
using.
A review of the rules will help you to be familiar with any special restrictions
that your ticket may have. If your ticket is eligible for changes (not all of them
are), reading the fare rules will help you know what, when, and where those changes
may be made. If the airline terminology seems difficult to understand, look for
the link to our "legend" which will explain what some of the terms mean.
What happens if I can't use any part of my airline ticket?
If you fail to check-in and fly on any portion of your ticket, regardless of whether
or not it is refundable or cancelable, the airline will most likely cancel the remainder
of your itinerary. Your reservation will no longer be valid. If your plans change,
and your ticket is eligible for changes, please call our Customer Service Center
to ensure that your remaining flights are not cancelled.
